We made ourselves comfortable on one of the picnic benches and it was good to chat with Richard Cleobury, Steve WB, Dave Lewis and Chris Macey all relatively new faces on the 'togging scene'.
We pushed on along the boardwalk and the river picking up the usual western oakwood summer migrants all except Wood Warbler which eluded us and Spotted Flycatcher which hadn't yet arrived.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit which was only my second ever and all came away with images that we were pleased with........
