On Monday 9th September I made my way west to Pembrey Old Harbour, Burry Port which in late summer can be a great place to observe and photograph various terns as they move south on their migration.
Sandwich Terns are always the most numerous but on this occasion there were also small numbers of Arctic, Common and Little Tern and a single Roseate Tern present at high tide which is by far the best time to observe.
Unfortunately unless in flight the terns are always a little too distant to get portrait type shots so most of my photos taken during this visit were of groups roosting.......
