I had seen the juvenile Pallid Harrier which has been visiting the Lougher Estuary for a few months a couple of times since the start of the year but it was always too distant for a photograph.
On Friday 2nd February I visited WWT Llanelli hoping that the bird could be seen relatively closely from the British Steel hide but no such luck.
There were the usual suspects present and mid afternoon a party of 16 Spoonbills flew in and although distant showed quite well, the number was the most that I have seen in a visit.......
