A few weeks ago myself and close friend and fellow birder/togger Dave Gilbert paid a visit to WWT Slimbridge hoping to catch up with the Barred Warbler and Pectoral Sandpiper on site at the time.
Unfortunately we didn't connect with either although we both had glimpses of what we thought was the Barred Warbler at the Estuary Tower we didn't get prolonged views or photographs sufficient to 'tick' the bird.
That said we still thoroughly enjoyed the day and here are some photos from a very pleasant visit, nice to see some Ruff and Spotted Sandpiper which although distant provided some 'record shots'.....
