Waxwings were present in Cardiff in January, numbering up to 650 birds at one stage. The birds shown are part of a group of approx 200 birds ranging up and down Newport Road on a bright, frosty Sunday morning.
Awesome winter for Waxwings! My biggest flock were the >100 at Merthyr, but I had best views og a long-staying six birds at Treforest just 5 minutes walk from work.
