"In search of cetaceans and seabirds"............

With Mrs S's arthritis causing her ever increasing mobility problems we decided to take the easy option for this year's holiday of a 12 night cruise from Southampton to Menorca and back calling at Lisbon,Alicante,Mahon,Gibralter and La Coruna.
Covering a large distance mean't 6 full days at sea which was particularly attractive as I could spend a fair bit of time seawatching for cetaceans and seabirds,having done a pelagic and the ferry crossing to Santander previously I knew that the Bay of Biscay which we would cross on the outgoing and return legs could hold good numbers of both.
I also managed some seawatching on days where we had been in port during the late afternoon/early evening before our evening meal.

Oh,and with fantastic weather,great ship,great food and fantastic entertainment Teresa thoroughly enjoyed herself as well !!
